Rev. Tom Atkins
Pastor Tom, as our congregation affectionately calls him, has been New Prospect Church’s pastor for the past 12 years. In addition to serving as our part-time pastor, he has also served as a General Evangelist from the North Georgia Conference of the United Methodist Church since 1994.
Pastor Tom graduated from Asbury Theological Seminary with an M.Div. degree in 1971. He has served as president of the Asbury University Alumni Board and president of the National Association of United Methodist Evangelists. Tom presently serves on the board of directors for the Wesley Foundation at the University of Georgia.
Pastor Tom and his wife, Susan, have been married since 1968. They have two sons and six grandchildren.
